Free Home Assessments: Consumer Energy Helping Neighbors (HN) Program offers FREE Home Energy Assessments to customers. To receive FREE products and/or services through the Helping Neighbors Program, certain eligibility requirements must first be met:
✓ Have an active Consumers account with gas or combo (gas and electric) service;
✓ Be income eligible (household income is at/below 200% FPL or at/below 80% AMI);
✓Reside in a single-family home, townhome (up to four units), condo, mobile, or manufactured home;
✓ Be a homeowner or renter (renters must provide landlord/property owner contact info for approval before an assessment can be schedule).
Free Upgrades:
✓ Carbon monoxide detector
✓ High-efficiency shower-head
✓ Kitchen and bathroom faucet aerators
✓ Water heater pipe insulation
✓ Programmable or WIFI thermostat
✓ LED light bulbs/nightlights
✓ Technician energy assessment
